First day making Flags for the High Street in Crediton 

The first Flag workshop got off to a flying start with lots of lovely volunteers who came and helped us to get started , many more offers of help and interest in getting other flags made came  along as well. Next Workshop Monday 11 March 10-4 come and find out more

Moretonhampstead Food Festival

Today was flag erection day and Saturday 9 March is the Food Festival in Moretonhampstead  the Flags are up for another month so even if you don't make the Food festival go and visit !

Flag making Training Day

Yesterday was the real start of the Crediton Flag project with Charlotte and myself going to work with Veronica and Andrea in Moretonhampstead to be trained in the Art of Flag making - what fun to be able to make your own flag! 
Workshops in Crediton start on Saturday 9 March 10 - 4 in what was Treloars Delicatessen Shop in the High street- come and see what we are up to - we are also there on Monday 11 March - watch this space for further dates !

Crediton Flag Project

I have got the wonderful job as shared lead artist on the Crediton Flag Project , it is based on the Moretonhampstead Flag project, which is till going strong with some amazing flags still being produced - see them during the Flag Festival which runs from 9 March - 5 April

What we need is any clean tent  parachute material you may have hidden away doing nothing in your shed -  any spare sewing machines would also be useful 

Laura's Lovely Silk Shawl

Laura worked really hard to make this lovely 90 cm square large Silk Shawl - It was well worth the effort !! 

Paper Sculpture

On Saturday I went on a fabulous creative workshop with Artist Helen Snell making paper sculptures, looking at packaging nets and how to manipulate them to create other forms

Helens Boat form with trees cut with a laser cutter is in the background- my developments in the foreground, then they started to get added together !! I wonder where this will lead ?

Next Dates

I am going to do Silk painting Thursdays on a regular basis and trying to plan more in advance a bit more as well.  after Thursday 21 February will be Thursday 28 March
