As part of the Ceramics Festival happening at Cockington 10, 11 May , I was fortunate to be able to run a workshop with several pupils at Torre Primary School , we made memory bowls , with imprints of the things the children had found on the beach in Torbay.
These will be on display at Cockington during and after the Festival.

Ceramic Eggs at Yarner Wood
We had a good morning despite the showers making eggs in the Woodland Centre
Hope says the best bit was "putting in the effort and concentration," which made her egg lovely and smooth like a real egg!

Pole from Tanglewood
We got our first pole from Tanglewood to try out , this one is Ash , it looks pretty good to me , great to have flags and poles together - now all we need is a man with a ladder again!
Charlotte and Flag Pole |
Nick is running a day coppicing wood for the rest of the poles for the flag project on Saturday 13 April 10-4 at Byway Farm, Thorverton
We have been asked to provide poles for the beautiful flags that are being created to fly on Crediton High Street this summer. We are coppicing selected trees as part of on going woodland management, in the beautiful surroundings of 'Farmer John's' woods. If you wish to come and give us hand, have some fun and meet some like minded people, let us know as places are free but limited. No experience necessary all ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.) Bring lunch and appropriate clothing.
