This mornings little expedition was up into the tower to hang bunting from there - it took two attempts, as the first bit was too small, so we had a fair bit of exercise going up and down the ladder - not good for Simon and I who don't like heights!
If you look carefully you can see Simon and Stephens arms out of the windows holding the bunting!
The cafe looks really festive ready for the tea party on Friday afternoon - don't forget to come and see me on Saturday making Bunting again!

More Extreme Bunting !
Hanging out of windows, climbing up ladders and dangling from strange places ! All in a days work of putting up bunting around the Riverside Mill, The Tourist Information centre and other key places in Bovey Tracey. We have nearly finished , just more to hang from the top tower tomorrow morning - do you think people have noticed yet?

New Glazed Bunting !!
It is all a bit of a last minute trial , being two sided as well!! but I got some of the Ceramic bunting bisque fired and decorated it with underglazes, then I just have to get it through a glaze firing, it will be touch and go as to whether it will be done by friday - doubtful I should think! but it can join the rest of the bunting at a later date !

Extreme Bunting!
This was the morning we thought would be quiet in Bovey Tracey to get the Bunting put up along the road - nobody told us that there would be 2,000 cyclists going past at exactly the same time we were narrowing down the road to one lane ! Erica and Kate did a fantastic job controlling the traffic - steep learning curve on managing stop go boards !
Max did amazing things with his extendable ladder and whilst wielding a hammer, for a man that doesn't do DIY he did a great job !
Thank you to them all for their help so early on a Sunday morning !

Silk Painting at Thornbury
I had a great day teaching a silk painting workshop at Thornbury Primary School in Plymouth, the children created 4 fabulous banners , the theme was rivers and was linked to the story of Jan Coo - a traditional Dartmoor legend! Thank you to Barefoot for the opportunity as it is part of their AotC project which culminates in Plymbridge Woods in July.

Ceramic Bunting!
This was Steven's , the chef at Devon Guild of Craftsmen's idea - Ceramic Bunting !
He made some delightful wood painted bunting - so why not ceramic too? So the challenge was on!
So lets see how it turns out? - I have a school Ceramic project, making Sea Creatures on Sticks, this week so I should be able to get it fired with them when they are ready

Sewing Bunting!
Well the rain made a huge difference to the Contemporaray Craft Fair in all sorts of ways !
I made the decision to give up on the printing, as nothing was drying ,and we did sewing and stencilling with the Children instead, amazingly they still came along to take part whilst watching the Punch and Judy show that moved into the Children's Craft Tent to escape the rain

There were some lovely pieces created .
Help sewing it all onto the tape is now required although,
Janet did a fabulous job sewing a lot up by hand whilst sat in the tent !
Thanks to all my helpers - how would I have managed without you?
