Firing Up ! photos

I have spent today writing reports on projects - just as well it has been raining, so not wanting to be outside today.
I got some of the photos from Tavistock College today as well as some of the better pieces of the work are now going to Plymouth College of Art to be displayed at the Contemporaray Craft Fair 10. 11 and 12 June it should be interesting to see them asI haven't yet had the privilege as they hadn't been glaze fired the last time I was there. Here are a few of them

Silk Workshop

The Silk Workshop in Yarner wood went well even though a little chilly, but despite the lack of sun we did try some new techniques of Sun Printing.
I am going to set up some date through the summer holidays for family workshops there- watch this space !

Silk Painting Workshop

Amazing event !

Well that was amazing - over 800 people turned up to an event in the middle of a wood !

I got loads of bunting made which you can see hung up drying all over the shed ( education space ) I am now looking forward to a slightly calmer workshop next Saturday 21st May doing Silk Painting there

Springwatch Event at Yarner

I am making Bunting this Sunday in the new Education space in Yarner Wood as part of a Springwatch festival running there from 11am - 5pm , there will be lots happening, so do come along and help create a fabulous bit of bunting!

Mythic Garden Opening

Unfortunately a bit of a grey day for an opening, but the cream tea and cucumber sandwiches were just what was needed!

I liked these pollen sculptures best - so did my mate Kate from Yorkshire - a fellow artist !

Silk painting

I held a mini Silk Painting workshop over the weekend with a couple of ladies from London who were staying in Bovey Tracey over the bank holiday period,they got my contact details from the Devon Guild of Craftsmen - it was good to work with people from out of the area
