Last night I went to the Private View of the Community Arts Centre that has opened in Teignmouth, there is now the additional facility of having a space dedicated to running workshops there - a dirty space ! Which is great news.
Also a different way of having Exhibitions as Artists can hire the space for a week
Angie Holmes invited me to participate in a Exhibition she is having of her fabulous prints the last week in March , so that is going to be interesting - Watch this space for more information !

The Potting Shed
The Potting Shed is a ceramics and glass studio managed by experienced Makers and teachers Richenda Macgregor and Natalie Elder. Developed as a community resource, The Potting Shed runs regular workshops in Ceramics, kiln formed glass, mould making and casting, outdoor firing including Raku, throwing, clay winning, sculpting and various one-off ‘taster’ days.
Set in a stunning location just outside Ashprington and surrounded by the Devonshire landscape, the space has been designed with optimum creativity and experimentation in mind.
Richenda and Natalie are committed to sustainable practice and wherever possible use locally sourced and recycled materials. Both are passionate about the creative process and in creating a hub for interactive learning, teaching traditional skills and researching into latest practice. Workshops and courses have been designed to empower and inform the individual with the knowledge needed to become successful practitioners themselves.
I went for a visit today to have a look at the facilities - what a great place and really looking forward to teaching there in March 12th and 19thhttp://www.pottingshedworkshop.com/courses.html for details about the course

Yarner Wood
I had a meeting yesterday at Yarner Wood to look at the new Education space they have created in the Wood, what a fabulous resource for running workshops in for artists !
I am going to do a Bunting workshop there during their Open Day on Sunday May 15th 2011
As the sun was shining for a change I had to go for a walk
I found another nest in the wood a bit larger than mine , big enough for a small child to hide in, It was made by Artist Martin Prothero
If you want to find out more about Yarner and walks in the Bovey valley follow the link below to Natural England

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone!
We thought the snow had all gone but it returned last night on the high moors , hoping we don't get another hit as wanting to get back to work now the holidays are over
I am still waiting for my Micro Kiln to arrive which I presume got stuck somewhere between Stoke on Trent and Exeter ! Thought I would get time to play over the holidays, but it was not to be.
Here is another blog to have a look at artspertise.blogspot.com run by a College friend of mine
