Of course this skirt attracted me being made out of Shrunken Crisp packets and more recycled stuff ! A Fun Exhibition and so good to see young people taking recycling seriously!!!

The second week at Tavistock Firing Up! Now managing to get some spheres made by a Lovely Sixth form group learning how to make tiles, slab building and press moulding

As going into St Catherines Primary School this Friday, I am getting ready and making some lovely material out of an old cotton sheet, kindly donated by a friend , but  also dying Cotton Bunting Tape Magenta to match - has to be coordinated !

Smoke Firing Workshop!

I have two spaces left on the smoke firing workshop with Bridget Arnold.  The workshops are on saturday the 12th and 19th march from 10-4pm £90 for both days.  The making and burnishing of work will be on the 12th smoke firing 19th.  This is an excellent opportunity for anybody interested in low-impact firing and creating design and pattern using smoke

Firing Up Tavistock!

I started the Firing Up Project in Tavistock yesterday, on the way there I stopped to get a photo of Drake's statue with Globe on the roundabout near the college- it was a beautiful day for a drive over the moors as you can see by the colour of the sky!

It started well teaching year 8's how to make pinch pots and explaining about Tags, tabs and traces !

Teignmouth Photo Shoot

As we needed an image for a poster for the 'Printemps' Exhibition 26 March - 1st April at Taag  Isabel, Angie and I  had arranged to meet to do a group shot on the beach - a shame it wasn't a little warmer, but we got some good shots anyway. Watch this space for more info!
