Last Flag Finished

This is the last large Flag for this stage of the project. 
We finished remaking my Butterfly Flag into the Crediton Shape to get it safe to hang on the High Street.

All the Flags are now ready to go, hanging starts 28 May ready for the start of the Festival  on 1 June. Whooopee!

Family Workshop

There is a Devon Artists Network Family Flag Workshop in Crediton 
Saturday 1 June on the first day of the Festival 

10- 4pm in 38 High Street Crediton 
Artist Charlotte Turner will be helping families to create their own small flag 

The use of sewing machines is part of the process, so an appropriate adult must be there at all times for supervision

Ceramics Festival

I am running a family workshop at Cockington Ceramic Festival tomorrow.
 Workshops start at 10.30 with a booking system in place find us in front of the house.


Also on display in the Secret garden is the work from the Torre Primary school residency , the children made Memory bowls.

New Size Flag

This is a smaller size flag , which can be made by other groups - I will be going into Bovey Tracey Youth Cafe next week to make some for the Craft Festival in June to help to celebrate 10 years of the Contemporary  Craft Fair.

Cockington Ceramic Festival

As part of the Ceramics Festival happening at Cockington 10, 11 May , I was fortunate to be able to run a workshop with several pupils at Torre Primary School , we made memory bowls , with imprints of the things the children had found on the beach in Torbay. 
These will be on display at Cockington during and after the Festival.

Flagpole making workshops



  • You are invited to drop in to the first of our 2 flagpole making workshop at our Roundhouse at Haywards Primary School, Credtion. You are welcome to stay as long as you like! We will be using traditional tools, and techniques all ages and abilities welcome, children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. Its free!!!
    Come along and get involved.
    We will have the kettle on!
